The festive season is upon us and with Christmas only around the corner, the entire team at Smylies would like to wish our brands and buyers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Whilst this year has posed some challenges, there has been plenty to celebrate as a company, with the likes of the new Smylies Shop, charity fundraisers, site developments, new brands and more!
One of our biggest milestones in 2021 was the launch of our revamped online shop.
Striving to create a much more seamless experience for both brands and buyers, the upgraded Smylies Shop has undergone it’s biggest overhaul yet. With enhanced features such as instant sign-up, new categories & product lines, multiple quote baskets and more.
The upgraded Smylies Shop is proving incredibly popular with global customer base as well as brands, as they’re able to complete orders much more efficiently.
Smylies is incredibly passionate about showcasing British brands and ensuring that we maximise their visibility on the international wholesale market.
We have welcomed on-board numerous exciting and innovative brands to the Smylies family in 2021, including Kiss the Hippo Coffee, Cocos Organic (formally Coyo), Itsu and more.
UK drinks manufacturer Britvic, has benefitted from 12 months of marketing support as a valued Smylies’ partnered brand. Each month over the course of 2021, we have promoted different brands through a number of projects involving email marketing, advertisements, search marketing and more.
From investing in sustainable schemes to improving the working environment for the entire Smylies family, we have put the wellbeing of our people and the planet at the forefront of our endeavours during 2021.
As a carbon neutral company since 2017, sustainability matters to us and we don’t plan on stopping any time soon in our mission to protect the planet.
Throughout 2021, we have continued to invest in our site to work towards a more sustainable future and to improve the wellbeing of the Smylies family. Introducing environmentally conscious initiatives, such as the cycle to work scheme for example benefits our staff, as well as the environment and goes hand in hand with our brand new bike store.
Further site investments include the installation of EV charging stations, alongside the planting of wildflowers and trees to enhance the grounds of the Smylies site.
The wellbeing of the team is of paramount importance to Smylies which is why we wanted to create a brand new canteen for the staff to take advantage of. Additionally, Smylies has invested in a bespoke wall mural, as we stick to our promise of ‘Keeping the Smylies Team Smyling’!
With more tech investments already pipelined for 2022, as well as plans for more brands to join the Smylies family, there is plenty to look forward to as we head into the new year.
Smylies is constantly looking to improve the service it offers to brands and buyers. In 2022, we endeavour to continue growing and nurturing our relationships with leading UK brands to ensure buyers have a broad range of choice when it comes to products and brands on the Smylies Shop.
